With Total Room Control all of the systems work together. For example if an exhaust blower were to fail and the temperature rises above the set limit. The system can turn off the lights and send a text message or email to alert you of the problem. There are many times when you want the various devices in the growing area to work together. Another example would be you only want your Co2 to be dispersed when the lights are on and ventilation is off. If you have separate controllers and timers there is no way for them to interact with each other and this makes proper control of the environment difficult if not impossible.

The sofware can be setup to turn an outlet ON based on a Sensors reading, Time of Day, Day of Week, as a cycle (ie 10 minutes ON 2 hours 10 seconds OFF) another outlets on/off status or any combination of the above.
